The King’s Club forms part of KCS Enterprises Ltd, the subsidiary trading company of King’s College School, Wimbledon. King’s College School Enterprises Ltd manages a diverse portfolio including leisure, hospitality, lettings, events, and retail. All profits support the King’s College School’s bursary fund via gift aid, helping provide inspirational education to talented children irrespective of background or means.
The King’s Club is an exclusive private members club, comprising a state of the art 6-lane / 25 metre indoor swimming pool, fitness suite, strength & conditioning room, studio, floodlit tennis courts, squash and two sports halls. The club operates throughout the year, outside of the school day, weekends, and school holidays.
The role: Lifeguard
To ensure the pool is operated in a safe and effective manner.
- To ensure bather safety at all times.
- To maintain order in the pool.
- To ensure pool rules and guidelines are adhered to.
- To ensure that all poolside areas are kept clean in line with health & safety guidelines.
- To assist with pool water tests when required.
- To report any maintenance issues to the Duty Manager at the earliest possible opportunity.
- To be fully conversant with all emergency procedures for fire and accident and to report all incidents in the correct manner.
- Attend training sessions and departmental meetings as and when required.
- Comply with the provisions of the company Health & Safety and Fire policies and implement where required.
Person specification:
- Confident and outgoing personality.
- Experience in working in a customer focused environment.
- Hold a current NPLQ qualification.
Hours of work: Monday – Fridays 17:45 – 21:00 (term time) Saturdays or Sundays 08:45 – 14:00 & 14:00 – 19:00
Salary: £14.80 per hour
