The International Partnership Lead holds overall responsibility for the relationship between King’s College School Wimbledon International (KCSWI) and an assigned partner school(s). Acting as the primary conduit between the partner school, KCSWI, and King’s College School Wimbledon (KCSW), the post-holder ensures alignment with King’s standards, values, and strategic objectives while supporting school leaders to deliver excellence, both remotely and in person.
Strategic Oversight and Governance- Hold overall responsibility for oversight of the partner school on behalf of KCSWI.
- Support and facilitate the development of whole school strategic plans and monitor progress against agreed objectives.
- Oversee school KPIs, annual stakeholder surveys, and risk matrices.
- Coordinate governor and committee meetings, including agenda-setting and paper production.
- Attend and contribute to governor and committee meetings as required.
- Provide regular updates and formal reports to the KCSWI Board on school performance and development.
- Build and sustain strong, trusted relationships with Principals, Heads, governors, and senior leaders.
- Act as the primary point of contact between the partner school and KCSWI/KCSW.
- Schedule and deliver regular update meetings with school leadership teams.
- Attend SLT and other regular management meetings as appropriate.
- Engage with a broad range of stakeholders to monitor satisfaction and address concerns.
- Oversee all KCSWI services and planned work delivered to the school, including annual policy updates.
- Develop and maintain annual and termly calendars aligned with school priorities and KCSWI resources.
- Coordinate travel and visits both to and from the partner school.
- Provide weekly updates to the KCSWI team.
- Keep partner schools informed of relevant developments at KCSW to ensure continued alignment.
- Act as an ambassador for King’s College School Wimbledon.
- Maintain awareness of competitor developments within the school’s territory.
- Support staff recruitment and induction of high quality teaching staff.
- Contribute to the production and delivery of online CPD courses via our Sapienter platform.
- Dedicated and hard-working character.
- Inclusive personality able to develop positive working relationships across the King’s community in Wimbledon and overseas.
- Experience in an early years, primary or senior educational leadership role (e.g. head of department/head of house or above).
- Willingness to travel internationally.
- Strong administration and planning skills.
- A high degree of personal motivation, initiative and energy.
- Teaching qualification or experience.
- A good understanding of the independent school ethos and commercial aspects of school management.
- Experience in working internationally (either through having worked overseas or other involvement).
