The Student Experience Team is a small, dynamic, innovative team, focused on reflecting and amplifying the student voice, and running high-quality events.

About the role

The Student Experience Officer will provide administrative support for student experience and student voice initiatives. They will ensure our student voice mechanisms run effectively and reach their target audiences, and that our events are inclusive and memorable. For example, they will support with survey delivery and analysis, event planning and delivery and student voice activities.

Successful candidates will have excellent interpersonal skills, experience of supporting event delivery, and strong communication and digital skills. They will have knowledge of the issues affecting students in Higher Education and a desire to improve the student experience. This is a full-time post (35 hours per week), and you will be offered a fixed term contract until 14/08/27. This is a hybrid role. The post-holder will need to work at our Strand campus a minimum of 2 days per week. This may vary and increase subject to event delivery requirements. Some event delivery will require in-person, evening work.

About You

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:

  • Essential criteria
    • Excellent time management and organisational skills
    • Able to manage own workload and prioritise tasks in a busy work environment, managing multiple work-streams independently
    • Experience of supporting events on differing scale and prominence
    • Educated to degree level or equivalent, or has relevant work experience within the Higher Education sector
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills, and ability to adapt tone for a range of audiences (from students to academic colleagues)
    • Good level of numeracy and digital skills (for example, Excel)
    • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team, being self-motivated and approachable
  • Desirable criteria
    • Strong understanding of the student lifecycle and experience of supporting the student journey
