About us
Faculty Education Services (FES) is part of the Faculty of Life Sciences & Medicine (FoLSM) at King's College London. FES provides professional services that support the delivery of education across the Faculty, working in partnership with academic colleagues, students and central university teams. The service brings together several teams responsible for key aspects of the student and education lifecycle, helping to ensure that programmes are delivered effectively and that students receive a high-quality educational experience. FES supports a diverse portfolio of undergraduate, postgraduate taught and postgraduate research programmes across the Faculty, providing operational expertise and consistent support to staff and students. This role sits within the Faculty Education Services (FES) Project Team, a growing team that supports the delivery of education projects and change initiatives across the faculty, alongside projects that enable the successful delivery of national and international education partnerships.
About the role
We are seeking three Project Managers to join the Faculty Education Services (FES) Project Team on fixed-term contracts. Contract lengths will vary depending on project allocation and business need, offering the opportunity to contribute to a diverse portfolio of strategic education projects that support innovation, partnership development and continuous improvement across the faculty.
Reporting to a Senior Project Manager, you will take responsibility for delivering a core project, managing all stages of the project lifecycle from initiation and planning through to implementation and closure. You will work with a diverse range of stakeholders, including academic colleagues, professional services teams, clinical partners and external organisations, to ensure projects are delivered successfully and achieve their intended outcomes.
You will establish and support project governance arrangements, develop and maintain project plans and documentation, monitor progress, manage risks and issues, and provide clear and consistent reporting. The role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to coordinate activity across multiple stakeholders, ensuring decisions are translated into actions and project objectives remain on track.
Working collaboratively within the FES Project Team, you will contribute to the wider project portfolio, supporting colleagues and providing input to additional projects where required. You will build effective relationships across the faculty and with external partners, balancing competing priorities while maintaining a focus on delivery and outcomes.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced project professional who enjoys working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment and wants to make a meaningful contribution to the delivery of strategic education initiatives at King's College London.
The role is hybrid, requiring a minimum of two days per week on campus at Guy's Campus, with occasional national or international travel depending on project requirements.
We are advertising three full-time (35 hours per week) fixed-term posts. You will be offered either an 18, 24 or 25 month fixed-term contract.
