Essential Criteria

  • PhD qualified in relevant subject area
  • Scientific synergy with current research at King’s
  • Sustained record of attracting peer reviewed research grant funding and/or fellowships
  • Significant, established research expertise and track record in combining quantitative experimentation with computation and/or theory to deliver mechanistic insight into biological processes
  • Strong and consistent track record of leading multi-disciplinary teams and sharing and encouraging good practice
  • Outstanding independent track record of publication in peer reviewed journals of international stature
  • Significant experience in leadership in academic administration
  • Experience in supervising and developing research students and/or research staff
  • Significant experience of undergraduate and/or post graduate teaching

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience of industrial/commercial funding opportunities to underpin applied research
