We are seeking an ambitious and motivated computational research scientist to join our new Wellcome-funded Imaging Machine learning And Genetics in Neurodevelopment (IMAGINE) lab.

The project aims to:

  • integrate multi-scale neuro-genomic and imaging datasets across brain regions, cell types and developmental stages,
  • develop machine learning / AI tools to predict and characterise how genomic signatures contribute to disease risk in epilepsy and other neurodevelopmental disorders, and
  • link neurodevelopmental genetic characteristics with in vivo MRI and clinical phenotypes.

The role will involve pre-processing and curation of large neurogenomic datasets, developing an open-source platform for genomic data visualization, and training deep learning models. The post-holder will also be expected to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team of engineers, data scientists and clinicians.
