About you: To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:
Essential criteria
- First degree or other appropriate qualifications
- Demonstrable experience of managing a varied workload, balancing competing priorities and delivering accurate outputs to multiple deadlines
- Experience of building effective working relationships and influencing a range of internal and external stakeholders to achieve programme or organisational objectives
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally
- Demonstrable experience of independently managing operational processes, identifying improvements and resolving issues using sound judgement
- Experience of programme governance and project management, including planning, implementation, monitoring, reporting and delivery of complex activities, preferably within a higher education or research environment
- Experience and confidence in handling multiple, complex budgets – excellent analytical and numeracy skills
- Knowledge of postgraduate research administration and funding, including an understanding of doctoral training programmes, studentships and/or UKRI-funded activity
Desirable criteria
- Postgraduate level qualification; a management qualification
- Knowledge of university student and finance data systems; content management systems (website); external UKRI database (Studentships Data System)
- Experience in developing communication strategies, such as effective use of social media and websites
- Experience of working with UKRI/EPSRC-funded programmes or doctoral training partnerships
