The Library Assistant role within the Subscriptions & Access wing of the Open Research team is responsible for a range of administrative tasks that support users’ access to print and electronic resources for their education, teaching and research needs. You will handle inter-library loans, update metadata, collate statistical data to aid subscription evaluation and work with spreadsheets and library resource metadata. The role also requires participation in frontline services, including a rota for evening and weekend working. The position is a full-time post (35 hours per week) with an indefinite contract.
Qualifications
- Relevant work experience and/or education, such as higher education in a related discipline, professional qualifications or other training.
- Ability to work as part of a team to achieve shared goals.
- Attention to detail and ability to work with a high level of accuracy.
- Excellent organisation and time-management skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experience dealing positively and proactively with routine problems.
