About us:
The Department of Basic & Clinical Neuroscience is a component of the School of Neuroscience at King’s College London with approximately 100 faculty and a total of 600 staff and students. The Department supports innovative research with state-of-the-art technology and offers exceptional opportunities to collaborate with leading scientists in molecular medicine and neuroscience. The Department is located in the Maurice Wohl Clinical Neuroscience Institute at the Denmark Hill Campus of King’s College London.
About the role:
We are seeking a London ARUK (Alzheimer’s Research UK) Network Support Coordinator to provide high quality administrative support to the London ARUK Network which includes King’s College London, University College London, Imperial College London, Queen Mary University of London, and other London universities. The coordinator of this London Network is Prof. Karl Peter Giese at the Department of Basic and Clinical Neuroscience at King’s College London. The postholder will work with Prof. Karl Peter Giese to coordinate network activities.
You will be motivated, enthusiastic, and organised and possess the ability to work independently and alongside other members of the professional services team. You will be highly IT literate with good written and oral communication skills and possess the ability to think on your feet. You will have strong time management and office management skills and the ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and positively. You will be expected to work flexibly as, given the nature of the tasks, the work demands will be fluctuating, with periods of intense activity related to deadlines and important meetings.
This is a part time post (17.5 hours per week), and you will be offered a fixed term contract for 6 months.
