About us
King's Business School is the ninth and newest faculty at King's College London, emerging out of the renowned School of Management & Business. We are looking to recruit an outstanding candidate to join the Department of Accounting & Finance. There are presently 140 academic staff and a full range of undergraduate, masters and PhD programmes.
About the role
As such we are going through an exciting development phase and are looking for high quality people to join our growing team. The School places a premium on international levels of scholarship and research excellence, and you will be expected to play a role in the standing and development of the Department in this regard. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to high quality research and will be able to contribute excellent teaching to the development of our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. You should hold a PhD in a relevant field, have a high-quality track record of publications in leading refereed journals and in securing research income. This is a full time post (35 Hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract.
About you
To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:
- Grade 7 - Lecturer
- Essential criteria
- By the date of appointment, or shortly thereafter, a PhD in relevant subject area
- At least one publication or a 'revise and resubmit' in a world-leading journal (ranked 4* or 4 on the ABS list) in a closely related discipline
- Evidence of world-class research capacity
- Some experience of teaching, or teaching assistance, in a related field at the undergraduate or postgraduate level
- Desirable criteria
- Some experience of developing research projects on collaborative funding bids
- Engagement in professional organisations (conference papers, workshops, memberships)
- Some experience of being innovative in teaching and curriculum design
- Grade 8 - Senior Lecturer
- Essential criteria
- A PhD in relevant subject area
- At least four publications in a world-leading journal (ranked 4* or 4 on the ABS list) in a closely related discipline
- Evidence of world-class research capacity
- Previous experience of teaching in a related field at the undergraduate or postgraduate level
- Desirable criteria
- Engagement in professional organisations (conference papers, workshops, memberships)
- Experience of developing research projects on collaborative funding bids
- Willingness to collaborate with colleagues in the Faculty and university
