This is a hugely exciting time to be joining the King’s Sport & Wellness team at the Strand Gym. Over the next few years, we will be looking to expand the scope and quality of our offering to the King’s community.
About the role
The post holder will contribute to the department’s mission to deliver unique and exciting sport and wellness experiences that unite our members and optimise our people and potential. The purpose of this role is to support the delivery of outstanding gym operations, inclusive fitness services and provide a world class service to our members. The Health & Fitness Coach will take a lead role in the day-to-day procedures of the gym, from opening and closing the site, cleaning, teaching classes and conducting programmes and inductions. This is a full time post (35 hours per week), and you will be offered a fixed term contract.
About You
To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:
- Level 2 Fitness Instructor or above on REPS/CIMSPA.
- Ability to deliver high quality group exercise classes.
- Experience working within the health and fitness industry.
- Experience in a customer service environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to manage own time and work independently.
- Ability to work early and late shifts, weekends, and to work flexibly across sites as needed.
- First Aid Qualification.
- Commitment to continued professional development.
- Additional group exercise qualifications OR experience: group cycle/spin and boxing/Boxfit.
- A good level of education (A-level or equivalent).
