Role Overview

The Head of Operations manages the professional services team within the department, working across the Centre for International Education and Languages (CIEL). Responsibilities include overseeing daily operations, strategic planning, project management, and resource allocation to support various academic programmes and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading and managing the department’s professional services teams, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • Providing operational leadership for business and educational activities, collaborating with CIEL colleagues and university services.
  • Developing and implementing departmental and CIEL strategies.
  • Managing projects to improve departmental effectiveness.
  • Planning staffing and resources in response to student numbers and programme needs.

Candidate Profile
