This is an exciting opportunity to join the Education Team as the Digital Education Manager in the Faculty of Natural, Mathematical and Engineering Sciences (NMES), at King's College London. The Faculty of Natural, Mathematical & Engineering Sciences (NMES) is a vibrant faculty with a long tradition of world-leading research and teaching in physics, mathematics, chemistry, computer science and engineering. We deliver a wide-ranging portfolio of undergraduate and masters degrees, to around 4,500 students.
The Digital Education Manager will support the development and delivery of Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) provision within the Faculty of Natural, Mathematical and Engineering Sciences. This will include driving and supporting e-learning innovations which improve the user experience and assisting with the training of academic and professional services staff. The successful candidate will have a passion for technology enhanced learning and will be able to inspire and drive continuous improvement. The post-holder will act as the main second-line support contact within the Faculty for the College's virtual learning environment (Moodle), KEATS. The post-holder will line manage the Senior Digital Education Officer, ensuring that staff are aware of their purpose and engaged with a shared vision for the university and the Faculty. We operate hybrid working at King's, colleagues are expected to be flexible in their working days with 40-60% of time spent on campus. This is a full time (35 hours per week) post, and you will be offered a fixed term contract until 31st August 2026.
To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:
- Essential criteria
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
- Experience of managing, developing and supporting the use of VLEs and other learning technologies to enhance teaching and learning.
- Proven track record of service delivery across an organisation including planning, implementation and on-going evaluation and development of varied initiatives that enable the effective use of technology enhanced learning.
- Experience of designing and delivering training content via workshops, or individually.
- Experience of managing strategic projects, including developing innovative solutions and practical implementation of change to enhance the student learning experience.
- Excellent task management skills and proven ability to use initiative, prioritise workloads and respond positively to situations arising at short notice.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with all stakeholders.
- Able to work individually and as part of a team.

- Experience of line management and creating high performing teams, including motivating staff, performance management and maintaining a positive, proactive culture of continual review and development.
- Evidence of continuous professional development.
- Strong commitment to equality and diversity in the workplace, with a good understanding and experience of web accessibility guidance.
- Membership of relevant professional bodies, e.g. ALT.
