We combine executive search and recruitment expertise, in-depth knowledge of King's and a relationship-led approach to identify and attract high-calibre talent from across the UK and internationally. Our work spans the full search or recruitment process, from market research and stakeholder engagement through to candidate management, selection and appointment. We are a specialist, collaborative team, committed to delivering a high-quality, inclusive and professional service. We use robust research methodologies, industry-standard tools and a strong understanding of the university's priorities, faculties and professional services to support effective recruitment. Since our establishment in 2017, we have supported appointments across all nine academic faculties and a wide range of professional services, from research professors to members of the university's senior leadership team. We are looking for a Recruitment Coordinator to join our team on a fixed-term basis, supporting the team and King's Faculty of Life Sciences & Medicine with recruitment for an exciting newly establishing research team, whose aims are to deliver innovative solutions for patients in critical care. The postholder will provide a high-quality, end-to-end recruitment service for this piece of recruitment, working within a team to support the Hiring Manager to recruit high-quality individuals across Academic, Research and Professional Services roles. The role holder will provide dedicated recruitment support, advice, and handle process administration, working closely with the project team to understand their requirements and provide pragmatic, responsive and customer-focused support throughout the recruitment process. This will include supporting recruitment activity from candidate identification through to reviewing and filtering applications, fielding enquiries and expressions of interest, coordinating interviews, downloading and collating paperwork including applications, and supporting appointment processes. The role holder will ensure that recruitment activity is delivered effectively and that candidates receive a positive and professional experience throughout. The role will also involve undertaking appropriate market research and talent identification to support recruitment activity, maintaining accurate candidate information on our database (Invenias) and engaging with prospective candidates where appropriate. The role holder will develop a broad understanding of the relevant academic disciplines, Professional Services and NHS partners, enabling them to provide informed support to stakeholders, respond confidently to candidate interest and contribute to effective talent attraction. As part of a small, collaborative in-house team, the role holder will contribute to the smooth delivery of assignments, including administration, coordination and logistics, and will work flexibly with colleagues across King's Search. They will represent King's College London professionally and consistently provide a high standard of service to the Hiring Manager, candidates and other stakeholders. This is a full-time post (35 hours per week), and you will be offered a fixed term contract for 6 - 8 months from joining (exact length subject to campaign requirements). The Equality Act of 2010 protects the rights of our students and staff and provides a framework to fulfil our duties to eliminate unlawful discrimination, harassment and victimisation and in addition, to advance equality of opportunity and foster good relations between those who share a protected characteristic and those who do not. At times, this will include balancing rights and beliefs that can feel in tension. We are committed to free speech and to academic freedom, believing that our foundational purpose as a university, is to create spaces where a wide range of ideas, including ideas that are controversial, can be discussed and debated, and where members of our community can express lawful views without fear of intimidation, harassment or discrimination. When engaging in the robust exchange of ideas, we ask that our community is mindful of our Dignity at King's guidance. We ask all candidates to submit a copy of their CV, and a supporting statement, detailing how they meet the essential criteria listed in the person specification section of the job description. If we receive a strong field of candidates, we may use the desirable criteria to choose our final shortlist, so please include your evidence against these where possible. Artificial intelligence (AI) is evolving rapidly, and we recognise its growing role in professional work. Applicants may use AI tools to support preparation of their application, for example to research the role or structure written responses. However, applications must reflect the applicant's own work and experience. AI tools should not be used during interviews or assessment activities unless this has been agreed in advance as a reasonable adjustment. Further guidance on the use of AI in recruitment can be found. We reserve the right to close adverts early due to the volume of applications we receive. Interviews are due to be held in early November.
