About The Role

The London Institute for Healthcare Engineering (LIHE) is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Business Operations Officer to support the efficient running of our office and operational functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in office management, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role is critical to maintaining smooth day-to-day operations and will report directly to the Operations Manager.

This is a full time post (35 hours per week), and you will be offered a fixed term contract unti 23 February 2028.

About You

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:

Essential criteria

  1. Proven experience in office management or similar administrative roles, ideally within a healthcare, research, or academic environment
  2. Strong organizational skills with an exceptional eye for detail and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting.
  3. Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage time effectively to meet multiple deadlines.
  4. Proactive problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.

Desirable criteria

  1. Experience with budget management and financial tracking, with a good understanding of expense monitoring and reporting.
  2. Familiarity with event coordination and handling logistics for professional meetings, conferences, or workshops.
  3. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements in an office or research setting.
  4. Experience working within an academic, healthcare, or MedTech-related organization.
