About The Role
Alumni have a unique and powerful role to play in the development of King’s. Many know firsthand that success after university is about more than just disciplinary expertise - it’s about networks, opportunities and the ability to translate learning into action. King’s offers alumni the chance to invest in the next generation, not just financially, but through mentorship, industry collaboration and direct involvement in shaping our institution.
At King’s, Strategy 2030 sets out bold ambitions to increase opportunities for our alumni to contribute and we’re looking for an ambitious Alumni Volunteer Officer to develop our alumni volunteering programme and scale opportunities for alumni to give back to King’s by sharing their time, their professional expertise, and their networks.
As part of the alumni volunteering team section, you will manage central flagship initiatives such as the King’s Leadership Mentoring Programme and Let’s Chat. You will also be the lead for King’s Connect, our online alumni community with over 45,000 members; responsible for ensuring that the platform is used strategically to foster connections between alumni and students.
The role involves recruiting and onboarding new volunteers, stewarding existing supporters, managing our volunteer reward and recognition scheme and cultivating purposeful relationships which lead to further engagement. As we launch our Philanthropy & Alumni Engagement Campaign in 2027, this is an exciting time for a creative, ambitious volunteer officer to join the team!
This is a full-time post (40 hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract. P&A has a hybrid working approach, with a minimum of 40% of time in the office. Typically, this equates to2days per week, but we’re very happy for colleagues to be in more frequently if they so wish.
