Responsibilities
- Ensure high standard, efficient and effective physiotherapy assessment, treatment and intervention for all patients for whom I am responsible.
- Assess, treat and manage own caseload of patients as an autonomous practitioner, including maintaining comprehensive records.
- Work as an effective team member, communicating appropriately with patients, carers and other team members as required.
- Supervise physiotherapy assistants and may be involved in teaching MDT staff.
- Undertake an evidence-based project throughout each rotation to further clinical practice and enhance patient care.
- Provide physiotherapy assessment and treatment to patients on a designated caseload.
- Use clinical reasoning to ensure provision of evidence-based physiotherapy.
- Attend multidisciplinary meetings, family meetings and board rounds.
- Ensure that physiotherapy management of a patient is integrated into the MDT management, treatment and discharge plans.
- Advise, guide and delegate to physiotherapy assistants.
- Support quality improvement and continuing professional development.
- Establish good teamwork with physiotherapy colleagues and MDT.
- Maintain effective communication skills.
