Rehabilitation Assistant on elective orthopaedic ward providing Physiotherapy and occupational therapy assessments and treatment to patients following routine elective orthopaedic surgery. The post holder will also undertake administrative duties to support the functioning of the department. The workload will include outpatients, inpatients and community working (e.g. patient’s homes).

Main duties of the job:

  • To provide Physiotherapy and Occupational therapy assessment and treatment to patients following routine elective orthopaedic surgery.
  • Assist Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists to provide a high standard of patient care by undertaking delegated clinical duties.
  • The post holder will assist with the rehabilitation of Orthopaedic patients, progressing treatments in line with departmental protocols.
