Key Responsibilities
- Act as a professional role model, demonstrating clinical excellence and leadership at all times.
- Lead and coordinate the Neuro Theatre Scrub Team, maintaining effective management and organisation of the clinical area.
- Take responsibility for patient safety, patient experience and overall quality of care within the Neuro Theatre Department.
- Undertake patient assessment and clinical management, ensuring the team consistently delivers a high standard of care.
- Ensure the wellbeing, dignity and comfort of patients at all times.
- Support development, teaching, appraisal and wellbeing of all team members (registered and unregistered).
- Manage designated budgets effectively and contribute to efficient use of departmental resources.
- Develop and implement clinical policies and protocols, ensuring evidence‑based practice.
- Ensure compliance with key quality indicators and implement remedial plans where required.
- Lead workforce planning: staff rostering, skill mix, sickness, leave and adherence to health‑safety regulations.

Person Specification
- Registered Nurse Level 1 or Registered Operating Department Practitioner.
- Minimum BSc degree (or entered) with relevant clinical and managerial experience.
- Proven leadership skills in a supervisory/team‑lead context.
- Experience managing a theatre or clinical team and improving outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to resolve complex or sensitive issues positively.
- Willingness to develop outstanding skills required for the role.
