The predicted salary is between 60000 - 84000 £ per year.

Contract: Fixed term 12 months.

Hours: Full time - 48 hours per week.

Salary: £73,992 per annum, including high cost area. Salary period: Yearly.

These are replacement posts. The remit of the postholder(s) will be to work within the multidisciplinary team providing and further developing care for patients within the service. In addition, the individual will be required to play an active role in the general workload of the Care Group while having a significant commitment to teaching and training of junior staff. It is envisaged that the appointee will contribute to the development and delivery of aspects of these services depending upon their interests and experience.

Main duties of the job:

  • Develop competence in multidisciplinary management of paediatric intensive and high dependency care. Manage the critically unwell child with liver disease, head injury, multi-trauma, paediatric surgery, neurosurgery & general paediatric critical care problems.
  • Achieve skills in stabilisation of the critically sick or injured child, including safe intrafacility transfer.
