Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first‐class clinical care within King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
  • Lead clinical care and support junior staff through teaching and supervision.
  • Maintain teaching, research, and audit activities in partnership with King's College London.
  • Ensure compliance with Trust procedures, clinical governance and infection prevention policies.
  • Cover 24/7 on‐call rota, including leave and sickness cover.
  • Participate in MDT meetings, audits, morbidity and mortality reviews, and R&D programmes.
  • Deliver outpatient clinic commitments and peripheral hospital coverage as agreed.

Person Specification

  • MRCS licence and full GMC/GDC registration (License to Practice).
  • Specialist SpR training in trauma and orthopaedics with evidence of day‐to‐day service organisation in a busy teaching hospital.
  • Experience in clinical research, undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, and exam preparation.
  • Strong commitment to clinical governance, audit, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work within multidisciplinary teams and deliver high quality care.

  • Appointee must hold appropriate UK professional registration and will be subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and Disclosure and Barring Service checks.
