Responsibilities
- Successful candidates will be assigned to one of seven critical‑care units (six at Denmark Hill, one at Princess Royal University Hospital).
- Working as part of a team of nine resident doctors, you will manage the day‑to‑day care of patients on the unit under the supervision of a consultant intensivist.
- You will also participate in on‑call rotations to ensure coverage during the day and overnight, supporting patient care alongside senior clinical fellows, advanced critical‑care practitioners and on‑call consultants.
- Rotations may focus on ICU, emergency department or ward support.

Person Specification
- Registration: Full registration with GMC/GDC and licence to practice at the time of appointment. MRCP or equivalent qualification. Additional higher degree or diploma (e.g., MD) acceptable.
Training and Experience
- Proven critical‑care or acute‑medical specialty experience (e.g., anaesthesia, emergency medicine, acute medicine, internal medicine specialties).
- Evidence of a special commitment to critical care.
- Demonstrable research and teaching experience.
Personal Skills and Attributes
- Effective communicator, able to work in a close‑knit team and collaborate with medical and paramedical staff.
- ATLS qualification.
- Familiarity with information technology and general computer skills.
