Responsibilities:

  • Act as a leader within a multidisciplinary team for Echo patients, liaising with principal physiologists, clinical lead of echo/consultants, admissions teams, procurement, heart failure team, and junior members of staff to ensure a high standard of care for patients.
  • Provide cross cover and support to the lead physiologist for Echo in the day-to-day running of the Echo service.
  • Independently practice echocardiography at a high level of skill and autonomy.
  • Possess relevant skills for advanced echocardiographic imaging, with a strong foundation in good scientific practice.

  • The position is for a Chief Technician.
  • The successful candidate will have accreditation from the British Society of Echocardiography (BSE) or equivalent.
  • The role is a key and dynamic member of the cardiac physiology team based at King's College Hospital in the Princess Royal University Hospital.
