Lead Liver Immunology Scientist, MSC Research in City of Westminster

Responsibilities

1. Conduct independent research into the immunomodulatory effects and therapeutic mechanisms of MSCs in biliary atresia models.
2. Employ a range of cellular and molecular techniques, including flow cytometry, ELISA, and advanced microscopy.
3. Collaborate closely with other researchers within the Hepatocyte Biology and Transplantation Group and with clinical partners.
4. Present work at weekly research meetings and contribute to publications, grant applications, and conference presentations.
5. Support junior researchers and students, providing scientific advice and training where appropriate.
6. Participate in GMP‑compliant cell isolation and processing where required.
7. Engage with the broader scientific and clinical community through lectures, seminars, and journal clubs.
8. Maintain strict confidentiality of personal information relating to patients and staff.
9. Support infection control and hygiene procedures in clinical areas.
10. Attend mandatory safeguarding training and follow Trust’s reporting procedures.
