An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced imaging professional to join the Radiology Care Group as Interim Head of Imaging Services.

Working alongside the Clinical Director and Radiology General Manager, the post holder will provide senior operational and professional leadership for clinical imaging services across the Trust. They will lead and support the non-medical clinical imaging workforce, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, high-quality and patient-centred services.

The role has a broad portfolio encompassing operational performance, workforce leadership, clinical governance and IR(ME)R, service improvement, education and professional development. The successful candidate will provide visible and inclusive leadership while supporting the continued development and transformation of imaging services across the organisation., The Interim Head of Imaging Services will provide senior operational and professional leadership for clinical imaging services across all Trust sites, working in partnership with the Clinical Director and Radiology General Manager.

The post holder will lead the non-medical clinical imaging workforce, with responsibility for workforce planning and development, operational performance, demand and capacity, and the effective use of imaging resources.

A key responsibility will be providing professional leadership for clinical governance, quality and patient safety, including the implementation and ongoing management of IR(ME)R and oversight of clinical and operational risk.

The role will lead service improvement and transformation, including new models of care, digital innovation and workforce development, while contributing to financial sustainability, business and capital planning.

The post holder will provide visible, inclusive leadership and represent Radiology across the Trust and with external partners.
