Your main responsibility will be the clinical care of children and young people who are inpatients on Rays of Sunshine Ward. This will involve the development, nurturing and utilisation of excellent clinical skills and abilities, in the delivery of care to paediatric patients with liver and gastro conditions. This position will also give you the opportunity to work within an international, tertiary service that is fast-paced, challenging but ultimately very rewarding. You will need to thrive on working in a dynamic environment; willing to support and guide students; demonstrate self-motivation and work well in a team. You should demonstrate a commitment to your own professional practice, as well as delivering high quality holistic care, with an emphasis on working in partnership with the children and their families.

Organisation and Ward Details:
King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust are looking to recruit qualified Band 5 Paediatric Staff Nurses for Paediatric Short Stay Unit, Toni & Guy Ward and Children's Surgical Ward. Paediatric Short Stay is a 6 bedded inpatient unit, caring for patients admitted from our paediatric emergency department. We care for children and young people up to the age of 16 years who need admission for up to 48 hours. Toni & Guy Ward is a 15 bedded general paediatric inpatient ward, it also is a shared care centre for oncology patients and a tertiary centre for Cystic Fibrosis and Haemoglobinopathies. Children's Surgical Ward is split into 2 wards. Princess Elizabeth ward is an 11 bedded general paediatric surgical ward and Lion ward is a 10 bedded Neurosurgical ward.
