This post is for a full-time clinical fellowship in Haematology within the Department of Haematological Medicine at King\’s College Hospital Foundation Trust. The focus areas include Haematology Diagnostics, Consultative Haematology, or Coagulation/Thrombosis. This is a non-training post and does not offer a training number / NTN in Haematology. It provides an excellent opportunity for supervised supplementary training in one of these areas. Appointees will be encouraged to participate in teaching and clinical research according to their interests.
The candidate must have (or be eligible for) GMC registration. Prior haematology experience or higher specialist training in haematology is desirable. A medical degree or diploma from a recognized UK or overseas university or institution is required.
The initial appointment is for 1 year, with the possibility of renewal annually. The role involves spending six months at The King\’s Haematological Malignancy Diagnostic Centre and six months in either Consultative Haematology or Coagulation/Thrombosis. Candidates unable to work full-time will be considered, with job modifications discussed on a personal basis.
The post will focus on Haematology Diagnostics, working closely with biomedical scientists in the Blood Sciences Laboratory, combined with activity in HMDS, consultative haematology, or thrombosis/anticoagulation.
