An exciting opportunity for a Clinical Research Midwife to join the Women’s Health Research team has arisen. Previous research experience is not required; training and support will be provided. This role is offered as an internal secondment, primarily based at Denmark Hill, with cross-site working required. It is funded by a King’s Health Partners grant until 30/11/2026. The successful applicant will work within a growing team of research midwives, nurses, and assistants to deliver a diverse portfolio of research in women’s health.
Main duties of the job:
- Support the Women’s Health research agenda as part of the core team.
- Provide expert research care and support to patients potentially eligible for clinical research.
- Complete research documentation and collect study data from participants.
- Assist with regulatory and approval processes for research studies within the RDU.
- Ensure research activities safeguard participant well-being and comply with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and relevant legislation, policies, and protocols.
- Advocate for Women’s Health research within the Trust and local research networks.
- Maintain strong relationships with clinical colleagues to promote a positive research culture, evidence-based practice, and the growth of Women’s Health research.
- Perform all clinical research tasks, including administration of experimental therapies and monitoring for side effects, safely and promptly.
- Maintain commitment to clinical midwifery practice, supporting and developing midwifery practice and women’s choices.
