As an SEQ Level 2/STA Level 2 certified instructor, you’ll be responsible for delivering bespoke and engaging 30-45 minute sessions with mixed ability groups aged between 5-17 focusing on building water confidence and improving swimming techniques. This role is open to swimming teachers with or without a lifeguarding qualification.

About the Role
Reporting to the Camp Manager and working alongside a like-minded team, you will be working with 3 to 8 groups of mixed ability children, with a maximum of 16 children in the pool with sessions typically last between 30 – 45 minutes. Session times and pool availability will vary, but we typically run sessions between 9.30am – 3.30pm, Monday to Friday.
Child safety is our number one priority so you’ll ensure that the welfare of children is paramount at all times, supervising children during their lunch breaks, participating in swimming sessions, overseeing safe use of equipment and promptly recording any incidents.
Because we’re Ofsted registered, you’ll also be given the opportunity to see how we implement high standards in children’s care and wellbeing as well as the opportunity to gain first aid qualifications, interact and build relationships with parents/guardians and access to our market-leading training.

You’ll bring 12 months experience as a swim teacher

For our swim roles, you’ll possess an up to date either an SEQ Level 2 or STA Level 2 certification.

Current Lifeguard Qualification: National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or National Rescue Award to Swimming Teachers and Coach (NRASTC). We will require up-to-date certification.

Upwards of 6 months experience working with 5 – 17-year-olds.

You’ll love developing and growing people and bring demonstrated experience in coaching or mentoring younger individuals.

A collaborative attitude, comfortable with rotating duties and forming positive relationships with both children and staff.

Capable of planning swim activities for mixed ability groups sizing between 5-7, 8-10, 11-14, 15-17.

Knowledge of conducting depth testing & risk assessments.

Ability to design, plan and deliver safe, but dynamic sessions from the poolside or in the water using creative techniques that appeal to a wide age range whilst carefully considering child welfare.
