The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.
This role has overall responsibility for the delivery of a high-quality Kings Camps experience across a number of camps in the region. The manager will travel to each venue at least once a week, which may involve overnight stays and flexible working, and will be on call to react to the unexpected.
Responsibilities
- Travel to each camp venue at least once a week, which may involve overnight stays and flexible working.
- Act as the first point of contact for a number of Camp Managers in the region.
- Contribute to successful camps by troubleshooting, resolving staffing challenges, responding swiftly to incidents, and providing advice on safeguarding, health and safety and behaviour management.
- Liaise daily or weekly with Camp Managers, using child and parent feedback to take appropriate action.
- Use programme audit and staff evaluation processes as part of quality assurance.
- Supervise on-call duties and respond to last-minute and unforeseen changes.
- Travel throughout the region with a full UK driving licence; reliable vehicle required, travel costs will be reimbursed.
- Work typically 4 days per week (Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:30 pm), with flexibility to adapt as needed.
Qualifications
- 2+ years’ experience working with children aged 5–17 years.
- At least 12 months’ experience in a management or leadership position.
- Experience in management, supervision, observation and feedback; childcare, sports or teaching related degree (or related qualification).
- Full UK driving licence, access to a vehicle and willingness to travel.
- Paediatric First Aid trained (or willing to train).
- Must be eligible to work in the UK.
- Knowledge and experience of child protection, safeguarding and health and safety.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate.
- Safeguarding experience and understanding.
- Organised and able to follow policy and procedure.
