Oakwood Academy is an Outstanding Specialist Arts, Technology and Sports College based in Ellesmere Park Eccles for pupils with MLD and CLD. We have an exceptional record of success with our pupils and maintain very high standards.
We are seeking to appoint highly motivated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join our team as soon as possible at Oakwood main site and Willows primary provision. The successful applicants will be required to provide support to pupils with a range of learning needs at both sites. Applicants should have high expectations for all students and be committed to developing their full potential.
Responsibilities:- Support pupils with a range of learning needs, promote independence and confidence, act as an excellent role model, and use own initiative and work without supervision.
- Work flexible hours as appropriate.
- Previous experience working with ASD / SEND pupils is desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good literacy, numeracy and ICT skills to support learning.
- Caring, positive, flexible attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
- Ability to work flexible hours as appropriate.
