King'sAcademy Ringmer is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of Science tojoin our thriving secondary school on a fixed-term basis to covermaternity leave to start on Monday 4 January 2027. This is an excitingopportunity to inspire a love of Science, deliver high-quality teaching andlearning, and support students to achieve their full potential within asupportive and ambitious school community.
Theappointment is temporary to cover a period of maternity leave. It isanticipated that the appointment will run until Thursday 23 July 2027
Workingclosely with colleagues within the Science Department and across the wider school, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons that challenge and inspirelearners of all abilities. You will create a classroom environment wherestudents feel safe, supported and motivated to succeed, while maintaining highexpectations for achievement, behaviour and participation.
Youwill be committed to developing students' Scientific knowledge, criticalthinking and analytical skills, enabling them to make strong progress andachieve positive outcomes. Through effective assessment and feedback, you willmonitor progress and adapt your teaching to meet the needs of individuallearners.

About you
Youare a passionate and reflective teacher of Science with strong subjectknowledge and a commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and learning.Whether you are an experienced teacher or at an earlier stage in your career,you are able to engage and inspire students and help them develop a curiosityfor the past and success in the subject.
Youhave experience of planning and delivering lessons that challenge and supportlearners of all abilities and are confident in using assessment to inform yourteaching and improve outcomes. You understand the importance of creating aninclusive classroom where every student feels valued, supported and able tothrive.
Youare a positive team player who builds strong relationships with students,colleagues and families and is willing to contribute to the wider life of theschool. You are resilient, adaptable and committed to your own professionaldevelopment.
