King's Academy Ringmer is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of History to join our thriving secondary school on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire a love of History, deliver high-quality teaching and learning, and support students to achieve their full potential within a supportive and ambitious school community.
The appointment is temporary to cover a period of maternity leave, anticipated to run until Friday 15 October 2027. Working closely with colleagues within the History Department and across the wider school, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons that challenge and inspire learners of all abilities. You will create a classroom environment where students feel safe, supported and motivated to succeed, while maintaining high expectations for achievement, behaviour and participation.
You will be committed to developing students' historical knowledge, critical thinking and analytical skills, enabling them to make strong progress and achieve positive outcomes. Through effective assessment and feedback, you will monitor progress and adapt your teaching to meet the needs of individual learners.
