Are you an experienced transport professional ready for your next challenge? We’re looking for a highly organised and proactive Transport Manager to join our Operations team at Kingfisher House, Forest Town. You’ll coordinate the journey of customer orders from input to delivery, acting as the main point of contact for our drivers and internal stakeholders. You’ll manage routing, booking, and compliance for our transport operations‑ensuring efficiency, profitability, and legal standards are always maintained.
- Route a fleet of 7 vehicles using planning software for maximum efficiency and profitability
- Minimise subcontract expenditure and monitor transport costs
- Book deliveries with customers and provide all necessary site and vehicle details
- Ensure full compliance with transport legislation and maintain fleet safety
- Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager for smooth operations
- Maintain excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Manage FORS tasks to meet Silver requirements
- Support the sales team with transport queries and costs
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction
Previous experience in the transport industry (ideally at manager level) - Strong organisational and communication skills
- Computer literate, with proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office
- Good geographical knowledge and understanding of fleet management legalities
- Knowledge of transport legislation
- International Transport Manager CPC (essential)
- FORS Advanced Practitioner (desirable, not essential)
