As the Group Property Finance Business Partner (Internally known as Group Property Finance Analyst), you will support the Group Property team by providing analytical support to maximise global opportunities and clearly articulate the financial benefits and risks associated with each activity. You will provide operational links with the local property teams and central functions to facilitate timely, robust, and accurate data flow between local operating companies and the central property team, particularly on Long Term Plan and Business Performance.
Responsibilities
- Be an active part of the Kingfisher Property Centre of Excellence, providing financial support to our banner property finance teams and supporting the COE with all financial matters.
- Support the annual Store performance review to provide insight into the performance of our stores across the Kingfisher estate, identifying areas of concern or where improvement is needed and supporting in action planning.
- Support the monthly reporting and forecasting process, reviewing property capital expenditure and preparing both a monthly pack and a property pipeline report covering expansion, maintenance & energy initiatives.
- Lead the budget review process and support with analysis to support strategic priorities.
- Lead the Post Investment Review (PIR) process detailing how recent projects with significant capital expenditure.
- Act as a key contact for our external valuers for the annual process for reporting the market value of our owned properties (worth c£3bn), which is required for Year End disclosures.
- Lead the property sections of the Question & Answer pack to support Investor Relations as part of external market updates at Half Year and Year End.
- Provide ad hoc analysis and insight as and when required, including supporting the GIC process, such as new property business cases & opportunities for lease renegotiations.
Minimum Requirements
• Qualified accountant in either CIMA, ACCA, ACA
• Intermediate or advanced Excel skills;
• Exceptional attention to detail;
• Strong communication skills;
• Flexible and adaptable, including willingness to travel;
• Enthusiasm to learn and develop new skills.
