The King Edward VI Foundation, Birmingham, is a progressive charitable organisation which has supported excellence in education across the City since 1552. Our schools are diverse in nature but have a common purpose and commitment to achieving our mission of "making Birmingham the best place to be educated in the UK".
The King Edward VI Academy Trust Birmingham ("the Academy Trust") was established in 2017 and currently consists of two independent schools, six selective, and six nonselective academies. The Foundation Office provides back office central support services, including Engagement, to the Academy Trust. Our recent expansion into a wider diversity of local communities is enabling us to accelerate our strategies for improving the life chances of young people in Birmingham, whatever their background.
We are looking to appoint a creative and proactive Communications and Content Officer to help us tell our story, engage our audience and strengthen the Foundation's digital presence. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled communicator to take ownership of the Foundation's Communications and digital content. You will play a key role in shaping how the Foundation and its schools are represented online, creating engaging, high‐quality content that celebrates our impact and values.
As a central support service, our working model must be driven by the needs of our schools. Therefore, please be aware that staff are required to take the majority of annual leave during non‐term time.
We reserve the right to close this vacancy early if we receive sufficient applications for the role. Therefore, if you are interested, please submit your application as early as possible.
