Kingdown School is looking to appoint a confident and reliable Driver to cover morning attendance car transport for its students, ensuring they get safely to school. This is a fantastic, part-time opportunity to join our dedicated team who is committed to helping all pupils believe, aspire and achieve.

Working Hours: Part-time (10 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term-time only, 38 weeks per year). Usual working hours will be 8am until 10am.

Contract: Fixed term (until 31st August 2027). Required: ASAP.

Kingdown School is a co-educational, non-denominational secondary school and sixth form, educating young people between the ages of 11 and 18 years. The successful candidate will have a full, clean driving license, be organised and consistent, and have a solid understanding of Health and Safety requirements. Previous experience in a similar driving role is desirable.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds a full, clean driving licence;
  • Has strong interpersonal and communications skills and can liaise effectively with school staff and pupils;
  • Has a can-do attitude with excellent practical and organisational skills;
  • Can prioritise and schedule effectively and efficiently;
  • Is self-motivated, dedicated and consistent;
  • Is a strong team player who can use their own initiative;
  • Is aware of health and safety requirements;
  • Has previous experience in a similar role / as a minibus driver (desirable).
