Kingdown School is looking for a motivated and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join its Curriculum Support Team and provide support to young people across all age ranges and abilities, with effect from March 2026.
Working Hours: Part time (30 hours per week, 38 weeks per year, no teacher Training Days). Required: March 2026.
Kingdown School is a co-educational, non-denominational secondary school and sixth form, educating young people between the ages of 11 and 18 years. We have a strong reputation in the local community and beyond, built on an unswerving focus on the quality of teaching and learning and great pastoral care. Ranked in the top 10 secondary schools in Wiltshire, our school is located in the charming garrison town of Warminster, with excellent links to Salisbury, Bath, Bristol and the South-West. The successful candidate will be able to work flexibly to support all students, including those requiring SEN support, liaising with teachers and SENCO. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who is committed to helping young people to believe, aspire and achieve.
Responsibilities:
- Has at least grade C in GCSE English and Maths or equivalent;
- Has a passion for delivering high quality and exciting opportunities for children and supporting them in their development;
- Has strong interpersonal and communication skills and is able to work with a variety of pupils, staff and parents;
- Is self-motivated, dedicated and consistent;
- Has the ability to deal with new challenging situations;
- Is a strong team player, good at building relationships;
- Has a confident, resilient and flexible attitude;
- Is organised and enthusiastic;
- Has experience of working with children / young people in a school environment (desirable).
