We are seeking a motivated and professional Service Advisor to join our team in Newton Abbot. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering outstanding customer service within an automotive environment. Other duties may be required of the post holder in addition to those listed above and below, to ensure that the requirements of the business are met at all times.
Salary: £26,500 to £27,500 per annum with overtime (dependent on experience).
Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, i.e. 40 hours per week, 1 hour lunch break (unpaid).
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the main point of contact for customers regarding vehicle servicing and repairs.
- Manage service bookings, job cards, and workshop schedules.
- Liaise closely with workshop technicians to ensure accurate and timely updates.
- Communicate clearly with customers on vehicle progress, costs, and completion times.
- Upsell additional services and products where appropriate.
- Ensure all documentation and compiling estimates are completed accurately.
- Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure high satisfaction levels.
Ideally we are looking for:
- Previous experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar automotive customer service role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisational and administrative abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy workshop environment.
- A proactive and customer-focused approach.
- Basic IT skills and familiarity with dealership or service systems (preferred).
