We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established organisation seeking a passionate and committed Registered Manager to lead an Ofsted-registered children’s residential home. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive organisation dedicated to delivering outstanding, child-centred care and achieving positive outcomes for children and young people.

As the Registered Manager, you will provide overall leadership, management, and day-to-day oversight of the home, ensuring full compliance with the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards. You will foster a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for the children in your care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the daily operation of an Ofsted-registered children’s residential home.
  • Inspire, support and develop a high-performing team through effective leadership, supervision and coaching.
  • Ensure the home operates in full compliance with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding legislation and company policies.
  • Promote a positive, child-centred culture where children feel safe, valued and empowered.
  • Develop and oversee tailored care plans that address each young person's individual needs.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with social workers, education providers, healthcare professionals and families.
  • Monitor and drive positive outcomes for children and young people.
  • Manage the home's budget and resources efficiently and responsibly.
  • Maintain accurate records and complete all statutory notifications and reporting requirements promptly.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at achieving and sustaining a Good or Outstanding Ofsted rating.

About You

To excel in this role, you will have:

  • Experience working within a children's residential home setting.
  • At least one year's experience in a supervisory or management role within children's residential care.
  • A robust understanding of safeguarding, child protection and the Ofsted regulatory framework.
  • A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards this qualification).
  • Eligibility to register with Ofsted as a Registered Manager.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.A genuine commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable children and young people.
  • A resilient, compassionate and proactive approach to leadership.

Desirable

  • Experience managing a home rated Good or Outstanding by Ofsted.
  • Therapeutic care experience or relevant training.
  • Full UK driving licence.
