About the Role
The Security Shift Manager will report directly to the Security Co-ordinator and assist in the operational supervision of all security personnel, ensuring site security procedures and safety standards are consistently maintained.
Key responsibilities include:
- Completing reports and recording observations, incidents, occurrences, and surveillance activities.
- Managing and resolving difficult situations professionally and safely.
- Operating and overseeing access control systems, CCTV, and integrated security systems.
- Managing staff rotas, scheduling, holiday planning, and workforce allocation.
- Supporting payroll administration, month-end invoicing, and payroll queries.
- Maintaining training records and ensuring staff training compliance.
- Providing cover for the Operations Support Manager during absence or annual leave.
- Liaising with clients, contractors, and senior management teams.
- Monitoring and managing KPI performance.
- Handling confidential information in line with data protection and safeguarding requirements.
- Demonstrating flexibility to meet operational business needs when required.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence
- Full UK Manual Driving Licence
- Own transport
- Previous security management or supervisory experience
- Strong administration and Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience producing reports and maintaining records
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent observation and decision-making abilities
- Flexible approach to working requirements
Desirable:
- SIA CCTV Licence
- NVQ Level 3 Management qualification
- Knowledge of security legislation and public safety procedures
- Experience managing KPIs, payroll administration, and training compliance
