About the Role

Kingdom Group is seeking a professional, reliable, and customer-focused Retail Security Officer to join our team at Tesco Bishops Stortford, CM23 4DD. As a key member of the security team, you will help create a safe and secure environment for customers, colleagues, and visitors while delivering excellent customer service and supporting the day-to-day operation of the store.

Shift Pattern

This is a fixed 33-hour per week position working:

  • Monday: 06:00 - 15:00
  • Tuesday: 15:00 - 00:00
  • Thursday: 15:00 - 00:00
  • Sunday: 10:00 - 16:00

Flexibility may be required to support the needs of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a professional and highly visible security presence within the store.
  • Deter theft, anti-social behaviour, and other security-related incidents.
  • Respond to incidents calmly, professionally, and in line with company procedures.
  • Carry out regular patrols of the store and surrounding areas.
  • Monitor CCTV systems where applicable.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to customers and colleagues.
  • Complete accurate incident reports and relevant documentation.
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment at all times.
  • Work closely with store management and colleagues to support operational requirements.

What We're Looking For

  • Valid SIA Licence (Door Supervision or Security Guarding).
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Professional, confident, and reliable approach.
  • Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Previous retail security experience is desirable but not essential.

Additional Information

A full 5-year checkable employment history will be required. Successful applicants must hold a valid SIA Licence. This is a 33-hour per week permanent position. The role is based at Tesco Bishops Stortford, CM23 4DD.
