Retail Security Officer - Retail Store (Manchester Arndale)
Location: Manchester Arndale Shopping Centre, M4 2EA
Pay: £12.95 per hour
Hours: Full-time & part-time hours available (various shifts)
Shift Pattern
- Monday to Saturday: 09:00 - 20:00
- Sunday: 11:30 - 17:30
- Various shifts across the week (flexibility required)
Requirement
Must hold a valid SIA Licence
About the Role
We are recruiting for a Retail Security Officer to support a busy store within the Manchester Arndale Shopping Centre. This role is currently offered on a 6-month contract, with the potential to become a long-term opportunity.
The successful candidate will play a key role in creating a safe and welcoming environment for both staff and customers, while maintaining a strong security presence to deter anti-social behaviour and theft within the store.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a visible security presence within the store
- Deter theft, anti-social behaviour, and store incidents
- Ensure the safety of customers, staff, and premises
- Monitor activity and respond to incidents
- Provide excellent customer service when required
- Work closely with store teams
- Handle situations calmly and professionally
What We're Looking For
- Valid SIA Licence (essential)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Professional, reliable, and approachable
- Good awareness and attention to detail
- Previous retail security experience desirable but not essential
