The position is field based across Kent and London. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 08:30-17:00. The role is permanent and pays up to £48,000 depending on experience, with a company vehicle and an excellent benefits package.
As the Commissioning Engineer, you’ll be responsible for:
- Commissioning addressable and non-addressable fire detection systems across a variety of commercial projects.
- Reviewing technical drawings and specifications.
- Configuring and testing fire systems.
- Validating cause-and-effect programming.
- Diagnosing and resolving technical issues.
- Ensuring all systems are fully compliant with British Standards and customer requirements.
- Producing accurate commissioning reports and handover documentation.
- Working closely with project teams to deliver installations on time.
- Providing technical support where required.
- Identifying opportunities for system improvements while maintaining the highest standards of customer service.
You will need:
- Previous experience commissioning fire detection systems within the fire and security industry.
- Strong knowledge of addressable and conventional fire alarm systems.
- FIA Modules 1, 2, 3 and 5 (or equivalent industry qualifications).
- The ability to interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics.
- Strong fault-finding, diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills with a professional and customer-focused approach.
- Full UK driving licence.
