Role Overview
We are seeking professional and customer-focused
Security Officers (SIA Door Supervisors) to join the team at Poundstretcher Belgrave Gate, Leicester.
The successful candidates will play a key role in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for customers, colleagues, and visitors while delivering excellent customer service and supporting the store's day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a visible security presence throughout the store.
- Conduct regular patrols and monitor activity within the premises.
- Prevent theft, loss, damage, and anti-social behaviour.
- Respond professionally to incidents, emergencies, and security concerns.
- Complete Daily Occurrence Book (DOB) entries and incident reports accurately.
- Provide excellent customer service and assistance to customers and visitors.
- Build positive relationships with store colleagues and management.
- Support stock protection and loss prevention initiatives.
- Monitor and report health and safety issues where required.
- Handle conflict situations professionally and effectively.
- Ensure all security procedures and company policies are followed at all times.
- Liaise with emergency services and management when necessary.
Essential Requirements
- Valid
SIA Door Supervisor Licence .
Own transport is essential.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Professional, confident, and approachable manner.
- Strong observational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations.
- Full five-year checkable employment history.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Experience
- Previous retail security experience.
- Experience dealing with shoplifting incidents and loss prevention.
- Knowledge of retail security procedures and incident reporting.
- Experience within a customer-facing environment.
- Understanding of health and safety procedures.
