About the Role
Kingdom Services Group is looking for a confident, professional, and reliable Security Officer to join our team at the ABP Ellesmere Abattoir Gatehouse in the Ellesmere area.
This is a gatehouse-based security role at a working abattoir site where you will provide a strong and visible security presence, helping to maintain a safe, secure, and compliant environment for employees, visitors, contractors, and vehicles entering and leaving the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing access control to the site
- Booking vehicles in and out of site
- Conducting site patrols to maintain security and safety
- Carrying out trailer temperature checks and trailer sealing
- Maintaining site BIO security procedures
- Control and management of site keys
- Providing out-of-hours reception duties
- Operating the site weighbridge
- Supporting animal welfare procedures
- Conducting pallet and basket checks
- Completing staff and vehicle searches, including production areas
- Completing waste documentation and records
- Carrying out site chiller temperature checks
- Monitoring premises and responding to incidents
- Completing accurate reports and recording observations
What We're Looking For
- Valid SIA Licence
- Full 5-year checkable work history
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Professional, confident, and reliable approach
- Good IT skills
- Excellent attention to detail and sound judgement
- Surveillance and observation skills
- Previous security experience desirable but not essential
- Flexibility to work shifts as required
