About the Role
Kingdom Local Authority Support is looking for an experienced and motivated Environmental Enforcement Team Leader to lead a team of Environmental Enforcement Officers across the Chichester area. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will lead by example, supporting your team while actively carrying out environmental enforcement duties. You will play a vital role in helping create cleaner, safer, and greener communities by tackling environmental crime and maintaining high operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, motivate, and support a team of Environmental Enforcement Officers
- Lead from the front by carrying out patrols and issuing Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs)
- Monitor team performance and ensure compliance with policies and procedures
- Investigate environmental offences and respond to public concerns
- Liaise with Local Authority partners and other key stakeholders
- Coach, train, and develop new and existing team members
- Prepare reports, case files, and documentation to support legal processes
- Ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of enforcement activities

Essential
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience
- Strong communication and people management skills
- Ability to motivate and manage team performance
- Professional, confident, and calm under pressure
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Basic DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
