About the Role
As a Retail Security Officer, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for customers, colleagues, and visitors while delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing a visible security presence within the store
- Conducting site patrols and surveillance
- Incident reporting and management
- Completing Daily Occurrence Book (DOB) entries
- Preventing theft, loss, and anti-social behaviour
- Responding professionally to incidents and emergencies
- Supporting store management and staff
- Building positive relationships with customers and visitors
- Maintaining strong tenant and customer relations
- Problem solving and conflict resolution
- Ensuring all security procedures are followed
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence
- Own transport is essential
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- A professional and confident approach
- Strong observational and problem-solving skills
- The ability to remain calm under pressure
- A full five-year checkable employment history
- Previous retail security experience is desirable but not essential
