This HSE Officer position is based in Andover, Hampshire. The working hours are Monday to Thursday 08:30-17:00, with an early finish of 15:30 on Friday. The role is permanent, onsite and paying up to £50,000 depending on experience.
As the HSE Officer, you'll play a key role in developing and maintaining the company's Health, Safety and Environmental Management System, ensuring compliance with ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 50001 standards. Acting as the HSE Management Representative, you'll lead internal audits, coordinate customer compliance activities, manage environmental and health & safety KPIs, and support continuous improvement initiatives across the business. You'll carry out risk assessments, investigations and inspections, deliver HSE training, promote a positive behavioural safety culture and work closely with managers across the organisation to identify risks, implement corrective actions and ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
You will need:
- Previous experience in an HSE, Health & Safety or Environmental role within a manufacturing or engineering environment, ideally electronics manufacturing
- NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety (or equivalent)
- Lead Auditor qualification in ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001
- Experience conducting internal audits, risk assessments, investigations and inspections
- Strong knowledge of environmental, health and safety legislation and management systems
- Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills
