Are you an experienced Goods-in Inspector or Quality Inspector with a background in manufacturing or engineering? This Goods-in Inspector position is based in Andover, Hampshire. The working hours are Monday to Thursday 08:30-17:00, with an early finish of 15:30 on Friday. The role is permanent, onsite, and paying up to £30,000 depending on experience.
As the Goods-in Inspector, you'll be responsible for:
- Inspecting incoming components and materials to ensure they meet design specifications, quality standards and customer requirements.
- Inspecting bespoke components such as PCBs, metalwork, seals and gaskets.
- Identifying and recording non-conformances, and segregating suspect goods.
- Supporting counterfeit component checks using inspection equipment including X-Ray.
- Assisting with customer returns and conducting random inspections of goods and kits.
- Working closely with Stores, Planning, Operations and other internal teams to resolve quality issues.
- Using precision measurement equipment and maintaining accurate quality records and documentation.
You will need:
- Previous experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment, ideally electronics manufacturing.
- Experience reading and interpreting detailed mechanical drawings.
- Experience using inspection and measurement equipment such as Vernier Calipers, Micrometers and Slip Gauges.
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to inspection.
- Experience using MRP or ERP systems would be advantageous.
- Level 3 qualification in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline would be desirable.
- Knowledge of IPC-A-600, ESD control, CMM equipment or Dangerous Goods would be advantageous.
